Example: As an athlete for my school’s ultimate frisbee team, I’m frequently put in high-pressure environments that require teamwork and communication for victory. I love transferring these important skills to my work life where I excel in navigating group dynamics and leadership roles.
Questions to consider:
- How would you describe to someone who is not familiar with the details of your discipline what your work is and what is important about your work?
- What specific examples could you give to show someone the importance of your work?
- What new knowledge have you learned?
- How are you connecting this knowledge and skills to the people around you?
- How would you translate these skills to show up in your resume?
